Special prayers have been offered on the remains of Alhaji Lateef Jakande at his Ilupeju house in Lagos.
Jakande, the first civilian governor of Lagos state died on Thursday at the age of 91.
Meanwhile, tributes have continued to pour in for the late elder statesman.
President Muhammadu whose regime toppled the Shagari regime which halted the democratic governance in the second republic, described the demise of Alhaji Jakande as national loss.
Similarly, governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu described late Jakande’s achievements as indelible.
Alhaji Jakande will be buried today according to Islamic rites.
