Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has condemned the rising ethnic and tribal unrest across Nigeria as he emphasized the need for peace, tolerance and unity of the citizens across the country
The governor was speaking when he received returnees indigenes of Sokoto from Shasha in Ibadan where a tribal violence has led to lost of lives and property worth millions of Naira.
The Governor advised leaders in the country to be committed to peace, unity and progress of Nigeria and desist from making inflammatory comments capable of setting the country on the path of destruction.
He said leaders are supposed to be seen preaching and practicing peace and promote harmonious living among people of diverse culture, tribes and religion as the case is in Nigeria
He frowned at the attitude of those issuing vacating order to citizens when the nation’s constitution has powered all citizens with the right to live freely in any part of the country of their choice.
