The House of Representatives says special constituency for women, local government autonomy focus and electoral reform are some of its areas of focus in the latest round of Constitution amendment.
The Deputy Speaker and chairman of the ad hoc Committee on constitution review, Ahmed Idris, disclosed this at a two-day retreat in Abuja.
The organiser of the retreat underscores the need for the collaboration with the parliament towards a hitch free exercise.
In his remarks, Deputy Speaker, who doubles as the Chairman of the Committee, Ahmed Idris, says time is of the essence.
He highlights contents of the memoranda before the Committee so far to include judicial and local government reforms, state creation as well as a special constituency for women to ensure more women participation in politics.
