Enugu State Police Command has paraded thirty nine suspects for various criminal offences within one month in the State.
Speaking to newsmen on Saturday, the state Commissioner of police Mohammed Aliyu revealed that the suspects were arrested for offences ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, child trafficking cultism and other crimes.
Among the suspects paraded was a middle aged domestic security guard, Nasir Adda from Nasarawa state, who was alleged to have killed his neighbour’s kidnapped son after collecting ransom of 400,000 from the victim’s parent.
The suspect, confessed to the crime, claiming he put the 12-year-old victim in a soak away pit, with the intent to release him after ransom would be have been paid.
Similarly, two female suspects were paraded for alleged child trafficking of a 3-year-old boy, within the Aniri local council area of the state.
The police chief announced that a total of 10 fire arms, 12 motor vehicles, 4 Tricycles, 36 SIM cards among others were recovered under review.
