Boko Haram insurgents have on Monday evening attacked in Gwoza local government area of Borno State.
The terrorist group stormed the city when Muslim faithful re breaking their fast, firing sporadically forcing residents to flee to the mountains for safety.
TVC news gathered that Troops of the area immediately engaged the terrorist in a gun fire resulting to many casualties of the insurgents.
Normalcy has currently been restored to the area.
Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South in the Senate and also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Army, hails from Gwoza.
