The Kwara State Police on Monday arrested a suspected ritualist, one John Moses, for being in possession of a fresh human head and palms.
The suspect was arrested along Ajase-Ipo/Ilorin road by the security team of Operation Harmony while conducting a stop and search on a commercial bus when freshly severed human head and palms were discovered in his bag while his partner took to his heels.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara state police command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi disclosed that the suspect, John Moses confessed to have killed the victim named Mohammed in Ajase Ipo with his fleeing partner for ritual purposes.
He added that investigation into the case is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
