His defection followed the Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, who decamoed to the All Progressives Congress (APC), from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
Etaba , who represent Obubra /Etung Federal Constituency in the of House officially registered his membership with the APC in his Apiapum ward, Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Speaking shortly after his registration,the federal lawmaker,said he decided to change party following the unanimous decision of hia constituents and supporters to follow Governor Ayade,sayimg Obubra /Etung will continue to stand with Governor Ayade beyond 2023.
