Stakeholders in the security sector are already examining the benefits and challenges of having the headquarters of United States Africa Command located in Africa.
AFRICOM’s headquarters is presently located in Stuttgart, Germany, but president Muhammadu Buhari is calling for its relocation closer to its theatre of war which is Africa.
The president made the call during a virtual meeting with the US Secretary of State.
