The Police Public Enlightenment Campaign Forum is set to collaborate with the Kaduna State Government to teach 5,758 young people on intelligence gathering and crime prevention.
Chief Sheriff and National Coordinator of the forum DSP Abdullahi Umar Ladan, stated this during a press conference in Kaduna on Tuesday.
He said that the partnership is with Banpet Security and Surveillance Services, which will train 250 young people across the state’s 23 local government units.
The selected youths will also be trained in community policing, intelligence gathering, and electronic security technology in both soft and hard products, according to him.
DSP Ladan further explained that the partnership is directly with the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Kaduna State.
According to the police officer, with the state government’s approval the training is expected to commence soon.
