Authorities in the state attributes the Resurgence of Banditry to the activities of those aiding the bandits by supplying them with food stuff, beverages and Petroleum products to use in their motorcycles to attack communities and set food banks and other valuable items ablaze
To stop the trend, the Zamfara state Police Command at a press conference held at its headquarters in Gusau, vow to enforce with full compliance the new directives but with respect for human rights of citizens.
The state Commissioner of Police Ayuba Elkana said only those on essential services are exempted.
He warned security operatives who would use the period of the restriction of movement for commercial poses on the road to desist as they will also be arrested dealt with accordingly
