The Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya has arrived the 82 Division, of the Nigerian Army, Enugu to formerly launch exercise Golden Dawn military formation for the South East.
The exercise is designed to combat criminal activities including kidnappings, armed robbery, inter-cult clashes and recently, banditry that has claimed lives and destruction of government facilitates in the South East.
It would be recalled that a military formation was first launched in 2016, named Exercise Egwu Eke’
On 17th of October, 2017, it was renamed to exercise Atilogwu Udo’

With the rising spate of insecurity in the zone, four years after, the
Chief of Army staff is here to launch another military operation, now known as Exercise Golden Dawn.
