The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested popular socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana.
The Anambra-born businessman arrived the headquarters of the EFCC at Jabi Abuja at about noon on Monday November 1, 2021.
Although TVC News cannot independently verify the allegations against the socialite as of the time of filing this report, a source disclosed that his case borders on alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
But spokesman of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren said he was yet to be briefed on the development.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission has expressed optimistic about high turnout of voters in the Saturday Governorship Election in Anambra State despite the security challenges.
The however advised residents of the states, especially those who will vote to eschew violence.
