Terrorists from the Islamic State of West Africa are currently attacking Damboa in Southern Borno State.
This attack is coming a few days after the same group attacked the Nigerian Military’s position in Askira Uaba and Chibok both in Souther Borno killing Brigadier General Zirkusus and 3 Other Soldiers.
The Attack is the third in the last one month in Damboa.
Reports from the town are still sketchy but available information states that the insurgents came to the town early around 5:30 am Friday morning and have been setting houses and public property ablaze.
There has been no reports of human casualty yet but Damboa is one of the few towns that refused to be displaced by the insurgency despite its proximity to Sambisa and being a target of several attacks by the ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorists.
