The remain of Magajin Garin Sokoto, Hassan Marafa Danbaba has been laid to rest at a private family burial ground in Sokoto.
Sultan of Sokoto,Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar was part of the jana’iz prayers for the deceased at the Sultan Muhammad Bello Mosque led by the Chief Imam of Sokoto, Imam Malami Akwara.
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal alongside his Kaduna and Kebbi states counterparts Nasir Elrufai, and Atiku Bagudu are among the prominent persons that attended the burial rite of the deceased
Magajin Garin Sokoto was the 13th Magajin Garin of Sokoto and he died on Saturday morning at the 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna at the age of 51 after a brief illness.
The deceased who was also the grandson of the late premier of the Northern Nigeria region and the Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello was the third in hierarchy of command at the Sultanate Council after the Wazirin who is second standing below the Sultan in the order of hierarchy.
He was survived by his three wives and six children and other relatives
