Two Catholic priests and two other people kidnapped by suspected gunmen at Saint Patrick Catholic Church Gidan Maikambo in Kafur local government area of Katsina state been released.
Reverend Father Chris Omotosho, Director of Social Communications for the Sokoto Catholic Diocese, expressed relief that the four victims had been released by their kidnappers in a statement he signed.
He appreciated the support of the general public, prayers, and encouragement during the church’s difficult time.
Reverend Father Stephen Ojapa, Reverend Father Oliver Okpara, as we’ll as Mr. Hassan Hassan & Ms. Ummie Hassan were abducted by gun men at midnight of 25th May, 2022 in the rectory of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo, Kafur local government area of Katsina State.
