President Muhammadu Buhari has officially inaugurated the 7.85-kilometer-long Isoko Ring Road (Aviara-Uzere) in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta. as part of the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing road infrastructure, business accessibility, job creation, and lifting people out of poverty.
The road connects many agrarian settlements in Isoko South council area of the state.
Messrs Levant Constriction Limited was awarded the project for a total contract price of N2.1 billion, on December 6, 2013.
President Buhari, who was represented by Minister of State for Labour Festus Keyamo, stated that the rigorous implementation of budgetary provisions is yielding project completion.
For years, the Isoko ring road has been eroding, impeding the movement of farm produce to other settlements.
The road, according to Buhari, had been constructed with the best design and workmanship available, and if it were utilized properly and not mistreated, it would survive for its intended service life.
He warned against actions that could harm the roads, such as overloading cars and trucks, which hastens pavement damage, and leaking gasoline.
During the inauguration, the Minister of State for Labour reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to complete projects across the country in the remaining stages of this administration to enhance the local economy, provide jobs, and other attendant advantages.
The federal government’s next stop will be the inauguration of some finished road projects in Ekiti, Osun, Gombe, Yobe, and Nasarawa states, as the minister pledges that most ongoing projects, including the 2nd Niger Bridge, will be completed before the end of this administration.https://www.tvcnews.tv/2022/06/nba-rejects-bobs-proposed-amendments-to-legal-practitioners-act-seeks-harmonization-of-inputs/
