The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the attack on Okuta Elerinla Police division in Akure by gunmen in the mid-night of Monday.
The command says the reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained it but said a police officer was shot dead during heavy shooting.
Spokesperson of the command, Funmilayo Odunlami who confirmed the incident, said investigation has commenced into the attack.
