A new Police Commissioner, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora has been posted to Kebbi state Police command to oversee the affairs of the command.
The Police Commissioner, who has commenced work immediately met with stakeholders in the state to strategies on the best possible ways to fight crime in the state.
A statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer Superintendent of Police Nafi’u Abubakar revealed that the Commissioner, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora alongside his management team have met with the Secretary to the State Government of Kebbi state Babale Umar to brief him on the new security measures the police command will adopt to tackle crimes in and around the state.
He said the commissioner also met with heads of sister security agencies, which include the; Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Usman Sule and Commander, Federal Fire Service, DCF Alankwu Nwankwu Fred,.
According to him, at the meeting the new commissioner solicited for their support and cooperation in ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Kebbi state for social, political and economic development.
The commissioner also appreciated the warm reception accorded to him and his entourage and promised to work in synergy with them in providing security in the state.
