The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched the Technical Vocational Education Training Maximization programme (TVET-Tmax) for two thousand beneficiaries in Nasarawa State.
The programme which is spearheaded by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Education Intervention is targeted at training fifteen thousand Nigerians on technical and vocational skills across seven pilot states in the country.
In June 2022, the Federal Government inaugurated a committee on National Poverty Reduction, Growth Strategy to take 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030.

One of the core interventions approved by President Muhammadu Buhari was the Technical Vocational Education Training Maximization programme (TVET-Tmax).
The Programme is aimed at equipping Nigerians with the requisite skills to be self reliant.
Students between the ages of 18 and 35 years old are being considered as possible beneficiaries of the programme.
Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari on Education and Intervention, Fela Bank-Olemoh said the programme is a step in the right direction for the Nasarawa State Government and would compliment its efforts in providing technical and vocational training for indigenes of the state.
The presidential team is also meeting with operators of TVET centres across the state to acquaint them with the rules of engagement.
Registration for the programme will commence in seven pilots states across the country which are Gombe, Ogun, Lagos, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna and Nasarawa.
