Armed Bandits had last week invaded Jumm’at Central Mosque in Zugu Village in Bukkuyum Local Government area and whisked away forty four Worshippers while observing Jumm’at prayer
The muezzin was among those kidnapped, but the Imam was able to escape the assault
The armed men were said to have hiden their guns inside their clothes and stormed the mosque when the Imam was about to start delivering sermons and asked those on the premises of the mosque to get inside
Shortly after all worshippers entered the Mosque, they brought out their guns and started shooting sporadically causing fear among the people and later move them out of the premises to an unknown destination
Twenty four hours after the incident, the Gunmen called residents of the village and informed them that there relatives are with them and are in good health condition
The Victims were later subjected to physical labour on armed Bandits farmlands
They were said to have been working on the millet and sorghum plantations belonging to the bandits throughout their stay in the bush
