The dozens of worshippers abducted from a mosque in Zamfara community by armed bandits last Friday have been subjected to physical labour on armed Bandits farmlands
A Source told TVC NEWS that the bandits had called to Inform relatives that the captives are with them and working on their millet and sorghum plantations
Though the bandits are but yet to demand for ransom
The Abductors says their plantations are due for harvest and the Victims must do the work before they are Released
The Victims were abducted last Friday while observing Jumm’at prayer in a Central Mosque in Zugu village, in Bukkuyum LGA of the state
The armed men were said to have hidden their guns inside their clothes and stormed the mosque when the Imam was about to start delivering sermons and asked those on the premises of the mosque to get inside
Shortly after all worshippers entered the Mosque, they brought out their guns and started shooting sporadically causing fear among the people and later move them out of the premises to an unknown destination
The muezzin was among those kidnapped but the Imam was able to escape the assault
When Contacted for comments, police authorities in the state says rescue operation is ongoing to ensure all of the abducted worshippers return unhurt.
