A three-storey building has collapsed on Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue, in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
This is coming barely two weeks after a seven storey building collapsed in the Oniru area of the state, killing six persons.
“A building has collapsed on Sonuga Street, at Palm Avenue, in Mushin. Rescue Operation is on going . I will keep you posted,” he said.
The LASEMA boss in a statement further stated that “on arrival of LRT at the scene of incident, it was discovered that a three storey building had collapsed at aforementioned address.
“Further investigation revealed that the collapsed building was an adjoining building to another 3 storey building.
“Two people who were trapped inside the building have been rescued and treated, however, we were informed two females that are occupant of the building are still missing . Search and Rescue operation is ongoing. LRT, LASG fire, LNSC, LABSCA and NPF are all responders at the scene.
“However, there are visible cracks on the remaining standing building that needs urgent attention. Building has been cordoned off and evacuated,” the statement said.
