The Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Lawal has expressed commended the Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his sustained support and cooperation extended to his personnel for effective discharge of their duty in the state.
The COAS gratitude was delivered by the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian Maj. General Umar Musa at a courtesy visit to the governor in Enugu.
The new GOC said his predecessor Major General Taoreed Lagbaja briefed him on his contributions that enhance their operations in the state .
The two leaders later held a closed door meeting which sources say bothered on security.
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state charged the newly appointed principal officers into the state University of medical and Applied sciences SUMAS, to be creative in their various assignments.
This was contain in a statement by the Secretary to the state government professor Simon Urtuanya, the governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to contribute effectively to the success of the hospital.
Governor Ugwuanyi had recently approved the appointment of professor James Chukwuma Ogbonna as the Vice Chancellor of the medical university.
Their appointment take immediate effect.
