The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo will host the Great Lakes African Military Games in 2023.
The President Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, OSMA, Major General Maikano Abdullahi stated this during his working visit in Kinshasa, the capital and the largest city of the DRC.
General Abdullahi said that “the visit was to discuss on the forthcoming Military Games.”
The working visit in Kinshasa included the Minister of Defence, Dr. Gilbert Kirhenga, and Army General Celestine Munsense, among others.
The great lakes countries according to him included ; Burudi, Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.”
