The Enugu state government has commenced the construction of a New University of Medicine and Basic Science.
The citadel of knowledge is located at Igbo-Eno, in Orba local Government area of Enugu state.
Yearly, millions of Nigerian youth write the university entrance examination.
That means the search for Knowledge is on the increase despite intermittent strikes by university unions, increasing attacks on schools by gunmen amongst others.
But that seems not to be a source of worry for Enugu state governor, Ifeanyj Ugwuanyi.
To ensure Enugu state retains it’s lead in the education sector, , the first University of Medicine and Basic Science under construction by governor Ugwuanyi has been accredited by the Nigeria University Commission.
While inspecting the progress of work on the institution, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor and his team appreciated the state government Investment in the school
The delegations that visited the site say the state governments investment in the school will enhance the training of more qualified students in medical profession.
