Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in Gombe state have resolved to be united in their quest to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Following state-wide consultations, different groups within the party separately declared their support for the presidential candidate of their party.

A leading figure in the PDP who contested to be the governorship candidate, Jemilu Ishaku, denies claims that he may abandon the party.
He affirmed his commitment to the victory of Atiku Abubakar not just for the party but as justice for the northeast region.
