I have nothing against Christian, Tinubu tells northern bishops

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress has met with the Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria in Abuja.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu passionately appealed to the Christian community to look beyond religion and other sentiments and support efforts of nation building.

The APC Presidential candidate told his guests about his plans, and programs to improve the fortunes of Nigeria and also mend fences across religious and ethnic lines in the country.

Senator Grace Brent from Adamawa who spoke on the significance of the meeting and the need for the Northern Bishops to hear from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and understand his desire raise the bar of governance in the country.

The APC Presidential Candidate made it clear before the clergymen from the north that he has always been a friend of the Christian community and he should be considered based on his track records, plans and agenda for developing Nigeria and religion should not be the yardstick.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said his choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as a running mate was based on competence, capacity and fairness.

Some of the Bishops also spoke freely about their fears, but Asiwaju Tinubu was quick to address their concerns to the satisfaction of the clergymen.

Chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria appealed to the clergymen present to make informed decisions based on the constructive presentation of Asiwaju Tinubu.

As the countdown to the start of campaigns continue, the APC presidential candidate is working round the clock and talking to the people and their representatives and also listening to their needs, expectations and aspirations as he solicits for their votes at the poll.
