The Nigeria Police command in Lagos State has arraigned popular musician, Panshak Zamani, also known as Ice Prince, for allegedly assaulting a police officer on duty.
The command’s Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin earlier confirmed the arrest on Friday via his twitter handle.
The PRO said that the musician was arrested at Lekki for allegedly driving his car without a number plate.
Ice Prince was also said to have allegedly abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into the lagoon.
On Friday, he was arraigned before Magistrate T. F. Oyeniyi of the Magistrate Court 1, Ajah, on charges of alleged Assault, obstruction, and abduction, which he pleaded not guilty to.
The court granted him bail in the sum of five hundred thousand Naira and he is also to provide two responsible sureties. The magistrate also ordered that he Remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ikoyi prison.

If found guilty, he is liable to imprisonment for three years, punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code of Nigeria.
