The House of Representatives has resumed plenary session at makeshift chamber following the ongoing renovation work at the Reps’ wing of the National Assembly.
The lawmakers had earlier embarked on the annual recession in August.
At the resumed plenary, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, tasked the federal on the arrest of oil thieves, saying enough is enough.
In another development, the House of Representatives has raised concerns over Nigeria’s rising debt profile. The lawmakers call for caution and advised the federal government to explore other means of revenue generation rather than borrowing.
Meanwhile, Speaker Gbajabiamila has called on the state houses of Assembly to expedite action on Constitution amendment.
