The weekly Monday sit-at-home civil action ordered by a faction of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB across the South East States of Nigeria may have contributed to the failed planned Nationwide Aviation workers protest in Enugu state.
Sources at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu told TVC News that the planned nationwide protest did not hold, apparently due to the sit-at-home home order being observed in the South East Region
They said Workers may not have found the means of transportation to the airport which is located at Emene, a suburb of Enugu metropolis.
Some of the Nigeria Airport Authority union workers confirmed the “no protest” situation at the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu.
It’s apparent that residents of the region always act in Obidient, to avert the fear of being attacked, since the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested by men of the Department For State Service (,DSS). On 29th June, 2021.
It would be recalled that
A coalition of the aviation worker’s union had scheduled Monday to hold nationwide rallies at airports, to protest what they described as anti-lsbour clauses in new aviation bills that is currently awaiting President Muhammadu Buhar’s assent.
