The Terrorists attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28 is still fresh in the memories of Nigerians.
With this in mind the Nigerian Railway Corporation says it is working with all stakeholders to ensure the success of its operations.
It adds that it will beef up security before considering restarting its operations on the route.
The Corporation says some of its own staff are still in captivity with the Terrorists who attacked the train.
The challenges according to the Corporation are enormous but these will not lead to it resorting to increasing fares as the government has continued to subsidise operations.
The press briefing was also an opportunity to address reports that the Lagos-Ibadan Trains Service has stopped.
The train service between Lagos and Ibadan according the Corporation is still on and its the regular 8am and 4pm slot.
The Corporation adds that the Security arrangement being put in place will gladden the heart of Nigerians once the Kaduna-Abuja Train service returns.
