Hundreds of residents in Okpanam in Delta State have raised alarm over threat to life by gully erosion.
Directly affected are the people of Airport View Estate in the area, who embarked on a peaceful protest to appeal for urgent intervention of the Delta state government.

Residents say the two days of rainfall eventually led to the collapse of some fences and threatens to bring down buildings on its path.
Fearing for the worst if a solution is not found quickly, and enraged at the person whose alleged blocking of the water channel caused the gully.
Over 100 homes and roads are currently at the mercy of the eroding flood water, which isn’t going anywhere and keeps eating away at the earth’s surface.
Business owners claim that the disaster has cost them millions of naira.
After a quick assessment on the spot, the Delta state government claims it is moving to address the issue.
