Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has described his group of 5 Governors within the Peoples Democratic Party as formidable Unit and no pushovers in the Party.
Governor Wike spoke in Port Harcourt at media parley he held with 4 leading Broadcast media houses in Nigeria including TVC News at the Rivers State Government house.
Governor Wike while speaking on Political developments within his party and Rivers State said the governors of Oyo, Seyi Makinde, Benue Samuel Ortom, Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Abia, Okezie Ikpeazu, are a very formidable group of Political juggernauts who will not be pushed aside.
He added that the group will continue to push for justice and equality within the Peoples Democratic Party.
He wondered why somebody can be thinking the group of 5 governors are pushovers and will amount to nothing in the Scheme of things in the party.
He again restated his call for the resignation of the national Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Rivers State Governor said he will continue to fight for Justice and Equality within the Peoples Democratic Party.
He said the Peoples Democratic Party is a party whose colours he wears on his heart and will not leave.
He said since the establishment of the party in 1998 he has remained in the party and will not be railroaded out of the party by anybody.
He also promised that his successor as the governor of the State will be a PDP member who will carry on his good works.
On the Kind of legacy he will be leaving behind as the Governor of the State, Governor Wike, said one of the most important part of his legacy apart from his numerous projects in all sectors of the State is the Law that guarantees women inheritance from their fathers in the State.
He wondered why someone will be disinherited on the basis of Sex.
Governor Nyesom and 4 Other Governors have been fighting what they say is a battle to entrench equality and Justice within the Peoples Democratic Party.
They have been collectively known as the G5 Governors since the battle started almost immediately after the Presidential Primary of the party in Abuja.
He also added that they will not back down on their quest for whatever reason.
