While presenting the grants to the beneficiaries, Hon. Oluwaseyi said the gesture is borne out of the need to make them commercially viable.
According to him, it is sad that many of the beneficiaries took soft loans to augment their businesses.
He said, “I am doing this to help my people boost their various businesses, so as to change their standard of living.
“A lot of them obtained loans from different microcredit organisations which mode of payment has become a major problem for them.
Also speaking at the event, the chairman of NNPP in Àkókó North West local government, expressed his satisfaction with the choice of Oluwaseyi as the party’s flagbearer in the forthcoming election.
He said, “Long before his political ambition, he has been lifting a lot of people out of poverty which I’m sure he’s still going to be doing more if given the chance to represent the people”
One of the beneficiaries of the grants, Mrs. Balogun Titilayo thanked Hon. Oluwaseyi for always being there for his people.
