The Emir of Zazzau, HRM Nuhu Bamali, has tasked the Federal Government with taking note of the significant quantities of solid minerals in Kaduna and other states.
The Emir said he believes Nigeria has abundant mineral resources which remained untapped despite their value.
Bamalli said the government needed to showcase more of the state’s mineral deposits to the international community.
He made this call an the opening ceremony of Kaduna State Government’s Annual Economic summit, KADINVEST 7.0
The seventh edition of the Kaduna State Government’s annual economic summit KADINVEST kicked off on Thursday.
The 19th Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamali is the special guest of honor.
Since 2016, Kaduna investment summit has been a programme to showcase the economic prospects of kaduna to foreign and local investors
The El-Rufai Government believes private sector partnership must take the lead in its job creation and development strategy.
The theme for the year is Building a Resilient Economy.
The Emir in his address drew the attention of investors and the public to the solid mineral potential of the state.
He said this resource remains largely untapped despite its abundance and foreign exchange potential.
He said that most Nigerian mineral resources seen at international expos were assumed to be from places like Bangladesh, Gambia and other places.
Other sectors the Kaduna government will be hoping to attract investors to include Agriculture, infrastructure and Technology.
The Kaduna Government boasts of attracting investment worth over $4billion.
It also boasts of its rise to the top of the world banks ease-of-doing business index.
It will be hoping to surpass this feat after this three day economic summit.
