The Chairman of Lagos state Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has led a solidarity rally to show his support for the presidential candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The rally was also a platform to show support and backing for the second-term ambition of Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The rally which had thousands in attendance too off from the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
The Walk which has created a traffic gridlock around the area commenced from Stadium under bridge through the former Western Avenue now Funsho Williams Avenue in Surulere to connect Ikorodu road to Oshodi by Anthony bus stop.
According to reports, the supporters are now gathered around Oshodi area of the State specifically around the popular Arena Shopping Complex.
Oluomo was at the head of the rally with Thousands of Others from the State Transport Workers Unions and Other allies of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was a former Lagos State Governor between 1999-2007 under the platform of the defunct Alliance for Democracy has been a major player in the Politics of Nigeria since his exit as governor.
He was a major influence behind the formation of the defunct Action Congress and the party’s subsequent metamorphosis from the Action Congress to the Action Congress of Nigeria and its fusion with the Congress for Progressives Change, the All Nigerian Peoples Party, elements of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and the New PDP to become the All Progressives Congress.
He nurtured the party with like minds to attain power at the Federal level defeating the then ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, making history as the first time that a ruling party and a sitting President will be defeated by an opposition candidate.
He emerged the candidate of the ruling party in a Special Convention and Presidential Primary in July and Musiliu Akinsanya known as MC Oluomo has been one of those who have shown their support and backing for him all through the way in Lagos.
This rally is also another platform to confirm that the Bola Tinubu Political family is united and ready to ensure victory for a man who has been a beacon for them for over 3 decades now.
