According to reports, the association gave the farmland to the local farmers to cultivate. Farmers have been using the land for years to help themselves while taking care of the land for the owners.
The local farmers are now unsure of how they will make it through the season due to a recent rift between the local government authority and the Rice Farmers Association on the land.
After taking time to cultivate, targeting a bountiful harvest this year, their wish did not come true.
This is as a result of a strict order given by the local government authority, restraining them from the farmlands.
The farmers are now afraid to go to the farm and harvest the crops that are due for harvest following the order.
Farmers who are on the verge of losing what they have worked for will greatly benefit from a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the two bodies.
