He explained that 134 Billion Naira has been approved for the payment of Security Debarment Allowance to former military personnel. But the approval comes with some conditions.

The Security Debarment Allowance is payable to retired members of the Armed Forces to debar them from using acquired special military skills against the state.
Another area of concern for the Veterans was the Defence Health Insurance Scheme (DHIS), but Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, allayed their worries by assuring them that the Military hospitals’ ongoing reforms would satisfy their desire for a healthy lifestyle in retirement.
