The Police Community Relations Committee has confirmed that Nigeria is grossly under-policed and Stakeholders must support security agencies in ensuring adequate protection of lives and property.
The Chairman of the body in Ogun State, Samson Popoola made this known while speaking about security situation in the country ahead of the 2023 General Election.
Nigerians have been advised to support the government in looking for solutions to the problem of insecurity presently confronting the country.

The Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee in Ogun State, made this known speaking about the security situation of the country during his meeting with members the Security and Safety Media Monitoring Group.
He said with less than 500,000 police personnel, Nigeria cannot meet up with the police officer-population ratio of one to 400 united Nations standard of Policing.
The Ogun State Chairman who is also the Secretary of PCRC’s National Electoral Committee appealed to Presidential candidates of all the Political parties to go back to their zones to maintain peace and speak to their people about the need to embrace peace.
He urged them to emulate the style adopted by the PCRC in ensuring peaceful transition without crisis.
He appealed to citizens to promote peace and unity in Nigeria and do away with things that can cause disunity and breach of Peace.
