The Federal Government has been urged to ensure the prosecution of all identified Terrorists Financiers, whether they are individuals or corporate organisations.
Security Expert, Abu Adams, gave this advise while speaking to TVC News on the recent disclosure of the identity of Banks, Fintech firms and individuals who are alleged to be Terrorists financiers.
He said failure to to prosecute identified individuals, Banks and Fintech Firms will not engender confidence of the citizenry in what the Federal Government is doing.
He added that the recent change in the Modus operandi of the bandits/Terrorists from the use of accounts to receiving cash payment only may make it a bit more challenging for Security operatives to counter but with the recent strides in Intelligence should soon be overcome.
He also called on the Government to do more of being transparent in disclosing the names of all identified entities and prosecuting them.
Going Further, He said the addition of the names of some Foreign NGO’s should be done with a lot of care so as not to jeopardise the prosecution of the war and the nations’ relationship with the international Community.

“i think the importance of the report is mostly to security agencies who have the responsibility of doing the needful particularly for all those that have been identified, we are talking about Financial Institutions, Individuals and their modus operandi and whichever way it is and to them it is i think a pathway to what they are supposed to do further, if you ask me again, you know that for sometime we are quite aware of some of these terrorists financiers that have been announced in the past and the only thing we have not succeeded in doing is in identifying the individuals”
“For instance if their is a financial institution let us know who they are, who are the board and then deal with them according to the law, this will give us more confidence and again it is also necessary for policy formulation and those in the theatre of war, it will determine their modus operandi for further intelligence and Counter insurgency operation, it is very very important and so the citizenry have the knowledge of what is going on they should be able to identify wherever they will be useful in the prosecution of the war”
“It will not be in the interest of prosecuting the war and our relations with the International Community to make those kind of accusations, identify those who involved and lets see how we can isolate them and those we can work with, we work with them, their is no doubt that terrorists organisations try to infiltrate various organisations even the fighting forces of Other nations and so it does not come as a surprise but how we deal with it is important, the earlier we isolate them, deal with them and prosecute them”
“The truth of the matter is that in cyber operations there are some transactions that are very difficult to track where you will not be able to identify the perpetrators, even our local Yahoo boys there are some accounts they will open, transfer money into it and move it into another one, you will find it very difficult to identify those behind them but like the DG DSS said in one of his most recent presentation, they have now resort to receiving cash mostly rather than what we know before making that there main source of financing lately, but i think with what Intelligence is doing right now, i think we should be able to make progress in countering that particular Modus Operandi by the bandits”
