The Lagos state Education District 3 rewarded outstanding Public school teachers and administrators for their contributions towards the growth of the education sector in the state, in the year 2022.
This is not the first time that the Lagos State Government will be rewarding teachers and school administrators.
It’s the 18th Merit Awards ceremony of the Lagos state education district 3 and this year, deserving teachers and school principals were being rewarded for their excellent performances within the year under review.
It was also a time to celebrate the contributions of individuals who have impacted the state education sector in past years.
The lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, Wale Raji was among the recognized personalities.
The ceremony featured awards in different categories.
The Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of the district, Mrs. Margaret Titilayo Solarin, is impressed about the attention the state government given to the education sector in past years, which is evident in budgetary allocation earmarked for the sector.
For the awardees, the reward for hardwork is more work.
The Lagos State Government has over the years been known to be a trail blazer in terms of rewarding workers in the public Service with Cars, Cash Gifts and houses handed out by the State Government to reward workers for outstanding performance.
Aside from this merit award by the Epe Education district of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission, there are other platforms that the Lagos State Government and the State Civil Service has created to reward public servants in the State.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, has also promised all through the last three and half years that his government will continually reward excellence in public Service and has met promise with action by rewarding civil and Public Servants with promotion for the likes of Dr Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu who has now been promoted to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Civil Serrvice.
