One hundred and twelve personnel of the Nigerian Airforce have successfully completed the Special forces course 10 for the year 2022 at the Commando training village NAF Base Bauchi.
The Special forces will be deployed immediately to the various theatres of operations within the country to join troops fighting to restore peace in all crisis areas.
The Special forces are military units trained to conduct special operations, they are selected, trained and equipped forces using unconventional techniques and modes of employment.
The Nigeria Air force has made concerted efforts to build its own internal capacity and resilience for force protection, by boosting the strength of their regiments and special operations forces personnel, through Purposeful training and human capacity development.
They have grown to be a formidable force with enhanced professionalism following regular training, acquisition of new platforms and reactivation of grounded fleets.
These are the latest personnel of the Nigeria Air force that successfully completed the Special forces course 10 for the year 2022.
Over two hundred NAF personnel across various Units and Commands in the country participated in the rigorous training that lasted for three months.
At the end of the exercise, only 112 among the over two hundred personnel that participated in the training successfully completed the Course with the required standard and criteria.
Aliyu Gaiya Bello is the Chief of Operations and training at the Nigerian Airforce headquarters, he represents the Chief of Air Staff as the guest of honor at the event.
The Chief of Air Staff admonishes the special forces to effectively utilize the knowledge and experience gained whenever and wherever duty calls.
The newly graduated Special Forces Personnel are expected to serve as the strong arm of the Airforce in its campaign against insecurity and non State actors who have made the country insecure.
They are also expected to serve as another platform for the Nigerian Military to operate in hard to reach areas with its full complement of equipment and personnel since they are expected to be a nimble, mobile and highly trained small group of men in a tactical unit to address specific situations.
