The lawmaker representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr Abiola Makinde in collaboration with his wife Dr. Rhoda Makinde has trained a total of 1,175 teachers and administrators from private schools in Ondo East and Local government areas of Ondo State in capacity building.
The participants were drawn from private nursery, primary and secondary schools from his constituency.
While declaring the workshop open, Hon. Makinde who was represented by his Wife, Dr. Rhoda Makinde, said the training is inline with the WEALTH political agenda of her husband.
She noted that teachers need regular training to acquire modern teaching techniques.
Dr. Makinde charged the participants to apply all they learnt at the workshop in their various schools.
She added that the workshop would be a continuous exercise to ensure that teachers and school administrators are trained regularly.
One of the participants and Principal of Trinity International College, Ondo, Mr. Felix Akindiose appreciated HAMDROMI for thinking anew in putting a workshop like this together for effective learning in schools
The Proprietor of Amazing Group of Schools, Bolorunduro, applauded Hon. Abiola Makinde and his wife, Dr. Rhoda Makinde for such a laudable initiative.
He said as a participant, he has learnt new teaching skills especially in the report card system.
Mrs. Olusola Amosun, a participant and Chairperson of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, expressed happiness towards the giant strides of Hon. Makinde in education development of his constituency.
