Benue State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, has flagged off its Campaign for the 2023 General Election.The flag off was done in Makurdi by the state Governor, Samuel Ortom who was accompanied by the other PDP Governors such as Seyi Makinde of Oyo state; Ikpeazu Okezie of Abia; Nyesom Wike of Rivers and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu states.
Just before the flagoff, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state; Ikpeazu Okezie of Abia; Nyesom Wike of Rivers and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu states accompaned Governor Ortom to inaugurate projects within the state capital.
Among projects commissioned are the tse-poor-Mbakyaa road, Yaikyo-Tse poor road, NKST Yina – George Akume road, Low cost housing estate – Bambam road among others. They later proceeded to the flag off venue.
The Party’s acting state chairman, acknowledged the presence of all dignitaries. No time is wasted as flag off and presentation of flags to the state Governorship candidate commences.
Representatives of state Zones, youths women and the National Assembly reaffirmed their loyalty to the party
The State Governor, Samuel Ortom with his guests gave Benue people the assurance that the party remains strong in Benue.
With the flag-off, it is evident that the state People’s Democratic Party is ready to compete for the Governorship seat come 2023.
