It is hinged on five pillars namely Economic sustainability, visionary leadership, execution political economy and inclusive growth.
The opening plenary was on the Nigeria we want, consisting ways of creating a stable macroeconomic environment that boosts private investments towards socioeconomic inclusion, job creation and poverty reduction.
The fiscal authorities highlight existing economic reform efforts while hinting that the country’s draft agenda 2050 is in its final stage and would soon be unveiled by the president.
Participants share thoughts on areas that need critical interventions.
Discussants are focused on coming up with ideas on how the incoming government can accelerate economic growth driven by sustainable and inclusive development.
This also includes an actionable framework for the right political leadership, human capital transformation, a bottom up approach to sub-national competitiveness as well as projecting areas needing urgent attention in the coning year and beyond.
The government that emerges after the conduct of the 2023 polls is advised to prioritise issues critical to effecting the kind of change the country needs at the moment.
Talks over the next two days will center around issues including fiscal policies and transparency, addressing corruption, repositioning the capital market, Monetary policies, emerging technologies for social inclusion, agriculture, health care and sports amongst others.
