There is no doubt that most tertiary institutions in Nigeria suffer one form of infrastructural deficit or the other.
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund(TETFUND) was introduced in 2011 by the federal government to overcome this challenge.
The Scheme has since intervened in most tertiary institutions across the country and the College of Education Akwanga is currently benefiting from this.
The institution now has a well equipped home economics complex, school of education complex and center for undergraduate studies, courtesy of Tetfund.
The Structures will provide a conducive atmosphere for students and enable them have practical knowledge of their chosen courses.
Authorities of the college are confident that the structures would improve the learning process in the institution and pledge to properly maintain them.
The Fund has expended the sum of 7.8 billion naira on the college since inception and sponsored 300 lecturers for postgraduate courses.
