The Labour Party Women leader in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mrs Victoria Chintex has been reportedly shot and killed by unidentified gunmen.
The incident was said to have happened on Tuesday and it was confirmed in a statement issued by Mr Edward Buju, the party’s publicity secretary in the zone.
It was gathered that her husband was also shot on his leg but was rushed to a medical facility where he is currently receiving treatment.
Police authorities in the state are yet to comment on the developments but members of the party are suspecting that the killing was targeted
