Abductors Of Zamfara Lawmaker’s Family, Demand Ransom

Abductors of wife and four children of a of Zamfara Lawmaker Aminu Ardo Jangebe are demanding ransom for their release

The abductors are demanding the sum of two Million naira each for the release of the two other persons abducted alongside the Lawmaker’s family members

But, they are yet to announce ransom for the Release of the family of the Lawmaker, Aminu Jangebe

Armed bandits had last Friday night abducted the Wife of the lawmaker, four children and two of his neighbours in his hometown Jengebe in Talata Mafara Local Government area of Zamfara State

They were abducted when group of armed men invaded Jangebe Community shooting sporadically and broke into the residence of the Aminu Jangebe at about 11pm last Thursday

The Gunmen went straight to the residence of Aminu Jangebe force their way in, kidnapped his family members and two of his neighbors on sighting them around

They also took away a motorcycle belonging to one of the abducted Persons

Aminu Ardo Jangebe represent Talata Mafara south Constituency at the Zamfara state House of Assembly

This Development is coming less about forty eight hours after a traditional ruler was shot dead by Gunmen in Tsafe Local Government

Communities and Travellers on Zamfara Highways have Continued to suffer the brunt of banditry and Kidnapping for over thirteen years.

It would be recalled that two hundred and seventy nine students of Government Girls Secondary School were abducted by Gunmen in same Community in February 2021 and were abducted after about five days

The School remain closed since after the unfortunate incident.

The Lawmaker’s family and two neighbours have been in captivity with Bandits who stormed his residence on Friday night now for the fourth day.

Raising the ransom now may be problematic as the money being asked for may not be available for now due to the implementation of the cashless Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria designed to curb occurrences like this.
