The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State, Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani) has appealed to electorates in the state to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2023 general election.
Speaking at the inauguration of Gombi road, she assured the people of the Local Government that if they will entrust her with their votes she would transform the state in line with APC manifestos.
She explained the role she played at the red chamber in reconstructing Gombi township road by the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
She promised to ensure Gombi benefits modern social amenities and services if elected Governor in 2023.
Senator Aishatu Dahiru also known as Binani is the first female Governorship Candidate in Adamawa State, a predominantly conservative State with strong values against Women in Leadership positions especially as Governor.
Her candidacy is serving as a major barrier breaker in the State following on in the footsteps of people like Senator Binta Mashi Garba and the late Senator Jummai Aishat Alhassan also of the All Progressives Congress, who was the governorship candidate of the party in Taraba State in 2015.
Her emergence though has not gone without challenge with it leading to major chasm within the All Progressives Congress with former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commssion, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, challenging it in court over issues of alleged infringement on the Electoral act and the constitution of the All Progressives Congress.
The matter was just settled by the Courts a few weeks back and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has also promised that the Court ruling brings the matter to an end.
The former Anti Graft agency Boss has also withdrawn further litigation on case and thrown his weight behind her candidacy, time will however tell whether She will be able to mount as successful challenge against the Peoples Democratic Party candidate and current State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri.
Adamawa State is also the home State of the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
