The Federal Government says farmers are assured of a bumper agricultural Harvest because they were able to carry out extensive farming with the support of Country’s Armed forces.
Nigeria’s Information and Culture Minister , Lai Mohammed disclosed this as he took a swipe at his Party’s main Opposition Presidential Candidate , Atiku Abubakar for his recent Comments on the existence of Bokoharam.
The Minister was speaking at the ongoing media Series of the President Muhammadu Buhari Scorecard in Abuja featuring the Ministry of Power .
Comments by the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar on the war against Bokoharam appeared to have provoked Nigeria’s Information Minister, the mouthpiece of the Federal Government and a card carrying member of the All Progressives Congress .
The Minister wonders why the Presidential candidate of the PDP will downplay the achievements of the Buhari Administration in tackling insecurity and challenged him to present his Party’s performance in their 16years of Power.
He also says farmers can now boast of a bumper harvest due to interventions by the Buhari Administration and the backing of the Nigeria Military.
The President Muhammadu Buhari Scorecard media series, showcasing the visible achievements and success of the Administration, is now in its 11th Edition, with the Ministry of power reeling out the performance of his ministry.
The Minister says Electricity supply in the country has significantly improved and the power sector is much better compared to what was inherited from previous administrations .
He says the Ministry has done quite well for itself in areas of metering, hydropower, infrastructure, capital investments and many other fields.
The Minister says his Ministry has been converted from a consumption spending franchise to a real infrastructure spending structure.
